Title: Director of Business Development, Primary Care and Health (US) Reports to (Title): Managing Director Department Name: Sales: Primary Care (PC) and Health & Wellness (H&W) Location: Field (United States)
Job Summary
The Director of Business Development, Primary Care and Health & Wellness is responsible for developing and achieving sales goals in the PC and H&W markets through direct, distributors and partners’ efforts. Additional responsibilities include marketing and customer service tasks associated with the development and support of the PC and H&W markets and executive tasks associated with strategic, business and budget development efforts.
Responsibilities
Sales
- Select, train, coach, manage and evaluate Sales Team/Sales Channel (direct employees, distributors and/or partners)
- Ride-along with direct employees, distributors and/or partners within their respective territories and/or markets to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary tools to attain their sales objectives
- Manage and stay within expense budget
- Perform annual reviews
- Act as a liaison between Sales Team and corporate office
- Track and report results by market, product, territory, etc.
Marketing
- Trade shows attendance
- Sales/marketing tools development
- Market assessment and development
Customer Service and Service
- As needed, work with Customer Service and Service Departments to troubleshoot, address and assist in Customer Service and Service related issues
- As needed, conduct product trainings and certifications
Executive
- Strategic Plan development and implementation
- Business Plan development and implementation
- Budget development (sales goals, sales expense budgets)
Requirements
Education and Experience
- BS/BA degree
- MBA a plus
- A minimum of 5 years of selling Cardio Pulmonary products (Spirometry, PFT, CPET, Nutritional Assessment) in the PC and H&W markets, including management of distributors and independent reps
- An identifiable track record of increasing results, responsibilities and positions
- Applications and Training experience with Cardio Pulmonary products a plus
Additional Qualifications
- Has a high level of business acumen regarding products, markets, trends, competition and technology
- Self-starter, ability to work with a minimum amount of daily supervision
- Personal fitness orientation and/or athletic background a plus

- Above average interpersonal and group communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Makes decisions based upon analysis, experience and judgment
- Ability to work within a cross-functional team
- Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft CRM or equivalent
