BBC2 documentary on obesity shows test with BOD POD
The BBC2 scientific program Horizon introduced a documentary series under the name "Why Are Thin People Not Fat?".The documentary analysed the obesity epidemic trying to understand the reasons why not everyone is affected by it.
The programme shows an experiment took by the University of Westminster in which some naturally skinny people were given a diet that doubled their normal calories intake for 4 weeks. The aim was to understand why some people gained weight and other not.
At the end of the four week period the students' body composition was tested with the BOD POD to understand which changes occurred in their fat mass.
